DDDC community forum
Council Leader Councillor Garry Purdy said: "Our community forums were a regular feature of this authority's engagement work pre-Covid and we look forward to meeting face to face again, not only with the regulars of old but hopefully with many new attendees too.“We are there to answer challenging questions and explain the big issues currently facing the council."
So come and have your say to DDDC. Its the ideal opportunity to ask about the travellers and about the air pollution and other issues especially impacting Ashbourne right now.
There will be a series of presentations on important local issues including the proposed East Midlands Devolution deal, a Local Plan consultation update, signposting residents how to find support during the cost of living crisis and an overview of ward boundary changes in the Derbyshire Dales and the reduced number of councillors to be elected in May 2023.
Residents will also be briefed on optimisation proposals for the local waste collection service and informed that the council will be seeking their views as part of an upcoming budget consultation on priority services, proposed savings and council tax levels for 2023/24.
There's no booking process - residents can simply turn up on the night and can if they wish submit questions in advance by email to email@example.com
