Ashbourne Heritage Society presents a lecture on Transforming The Trent Valley, by Dr Mark Knight.

Transforming the Trent Valley (TTTV) is a landscape-scale project focussing on the rivers Trent, Tame and Dove.  This area has a rich and diverse cultural heritage resource ranging in date from the early prehistoric through to the modern day. The project works with local communities, volunteers and landowners to improve the condition of vulnerable heritage assets across the area and achieve sustainable management for them. The aim of the project is to empower local communities and landowners to take responsibility for their heritage and to enable strategies for longer-term designation and management to be developed.

Dr Mark Knight is the Cultural Heritage Officer for the TTTV scheme and the talk will update the audience with the work done to date and give an overview of the coming months, with an especial focus on the Derbyshire aspects of the project.

There is a £5 entry charge for non-members. Its free for members. Refreshments and chat from 2:00 and the programme starts at 2:30.
