Creative Peaks presents Skylla - the solo project of composer and bassist Ruth Goller (Melt Yourself Down, Rokia Traore, Sam Amidon, Vula Viel) featuring outstanding UK vocalists Lauren Kinsella (Snowpoet) and Alice Grant (Matthew Herbert). The music is inspired and  influenced by Bulgarian folk song,free jazz, James Joyce and the Italian Alps where Ruth grew up. Bass guitar harmonics in experimental tuning systems sparkle beneath other-worldly polyphonic songs.

The event is free but a donation of £5 is suggested. Events often finish with a jam session so with luck it will be long evening.

Creative Peaks is an arts and music organisation, joining the dots between sound, words, image, movement and the natural world, with an emphasis on improvisation, experimentation and collaboration.

Our base is the Watts Russell Arms, an ancient stone-built venue in Hopedale, just 8 miles from Ashbourne.
