ParkRun & ParkWalk

The weekly ParkRun (and now also ParkWalk) event every Saturday morning, rain or shine, can only happen thanks to a small group of dedicated "run directors" and a larger group of equally dedicated marshals and other volunteers.

More people are always needed - the more we have the fewer turns each person has to do. Please email us or come down to meet us at 8:30 on a Saturday at the rec.

If you want to join in as a participant, you need to register on the ParkRun website and remember to bring your barcode with you. You run or walk at your own pace on three laps of the rec to cover 5k (just over 3 miles) in three laps.

Don't worry if you can't do the distance, it's fine to stop early.
