Don't miss the magical 2026 Lantern Spectacular, a half-mile procession of candle-lit paper and willow lanterns winding through the streets. Old favourites the owl, the polar bear, the dragon and the giant gingerbread men will all be there plus some new arrivals for 2026.

Street entertainment will fill the night including an amazing son-et-lumierer show.

Many shops are open late and there are street food and market stalls all around the centre plus a craft fair in the Town Hall. You'll find Santa down near the Greenman.

This amazing event is organised by Ashbourne Christmas Community Group.

Roads and car parks will be very busy. We recommend walking or public transport. If driving, try to be parked by 4pm. Roads close at 5pm.
